What if I lost an item(s) that belongs to the library?

Answer

If an item is not renewed or returned to the Libraries within 21 days of the original due date, it is declared to be “Lost”.

For each “Lost” item, a replacement charge and a processing fee of $10 is billed to your Student Business Service account. The replacement charge varies depending on item categories. See below for details about replacement charge by item category.

  • Dynamic Media Studio (DMS) Equipment: Replacement cost of the item
  • Books, bound periodicals, government documents, CDs / DVDs, reserve items, popular reading, children’s books: $115
